Pilates

Dea is a movement teacher specialising in yoga and Pilates. She believes movement should be accessible, enjoyable and available to people from all walks of life, regardless of age, experience or ability.

Her interest in movement began as a child, when her grandmother introduced her to the Five Tibetan Rites, alongside yoga and meditation. She practised on and off over the years before returning to yoga more seriously during the 2020 lockdown, when it became a way to slow down, reconnect with her body and find a sense of calm.

At heart, Dea is a teacher. Before moving into yoga and Pilates, she worked in education and learning and development, teaching in schools and supporting people with additional needs. That background continues to shape the way she teaches today. Rather than simply leading people through movement, she enjoys helping people understand it.

Alongside her yoga and Pilates qualifications, Dea has completed specialist training in trauma-sensitive and postnatal yoga and is expanding her work into postnatal Pilates. Becoming a mum has deepened her appreciation of how movement can support us through different stages of life.

Whether she's teaching yoga, Pilates or postnatal classes, Dea's aim is simple: to help people feel stronger, move more freely and leave with a greater understanding of their own bodies.
