Accredited in Italy as psychologist, in 2007 I moved to the U.K. where I work as Counsellor in my private practice, and as a free-lance Mental Health Specialist Mentor. I have extensive experience in counselling/talking therapy and have worked with clients coming to me for different reasons: in some instances, feeling a bit lost in life and wanting to understand themselves or explore what they want; in some cases, for low mood, depression, or anxiety; in other instances, for past trauma, eating disorders, self-harm, relationship, and family problems. Currently I work in my private practice with adults, young people, couples, and families and can offer my services in both English and Italian.
While my main approaches are relational systemic and psychodynamic I tailor and adapt my intervention to the individual assessing their different requirements and demands. I use skills and techniques that I have learnt during my ongoing professional development in the UK and from my previous time in Italy. I draw from the following approaches/models:
- Group Dynamics
- Art Therapy
- Trauma Informed
- Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Transactional Analysis
- Stress Control, Mindfulness
I am registered with the “Ordine degli Psicologi della Toscana (Order of Psychologists of Tuscany in Italy, n.5158) , and am also a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society MBPsS (n.266295) and I am currently applying to be registered with COSCA.

The therapy I offer is integrative, enabling me to draw on techniques and theory from other approaches such as person-centred, psychodynamic, existential, Gestalt and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). The content and pace of our work together is always driven by you, and my approach can be tailored to your needs. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, ethnicities, faiths and orientations, and I am committed to understanding and supporting each of my clients as unique individuals.
You may be experiencing stress and anxiety related to everyday challenges at work or with relationships, or there may be deeper more traumatic experiences that you want to work through. Loss, bereavement, discrimination, abuse and emotional neglect are common experiences that have the potential to impact us in the present even when they occurred a long time ago. Sometimes the work can be about exploring more abstract (or existential) aspects of life such as meaning, identity or searching for a sense of connection to self, others and the wider world.
As well as my work as a therapist, I teach counselling and psychotherapy at Masters level, deliver training within the health service, and conduct research into mental wellbeing (in a former life I also spent a decade working in the TV industry). As a BACP accredited therapist and supervisor, I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, undertake my own regular supervision and have a commitment to continuous professional development.
