Recovery matters — we’re here to support your body after birth and into life with your baby.

After giving birth, your body doesn’t simply bounce back. It’s recovering from pregnancy, delivery, and the full-time work of caring for your baby. It’s no surprise if you’re dealing with new aches, fatigue, or discomfort — and you don’t have to push through it alone.

At &Osteo, you’ll find thoughtful, personalised care to support your healing, strength and wellbeing in the months (or years) after birth.

Mummy MOT®

The Mummy MOT is a postnatal check-up designed to help you rebuild from the inside out. Whether you had a vaginal or C-section birth, this is a vital opportunity to assess your core and pelvic floor, and get a personalised plan for recovery.

We recommend a Mummy MOT:

  • After your 6-8 week GP check
  • If you have ongoing pelvic floor or postnatal symptoms
  • Even months (or years) after birth if you've never been assessed
  • Screening for bladder, bowel or sexual dysfunction

A Mummy MOT includes:

  • A postural screening
  • Pelvic floor muscle assessment
  • Abdominal muscle exam to check for any separation
  • Screening for bladder, bowel or sexual dysfunction
  • Advice, exercises and a clear recovery plan

Osteopathy

Birth is a big event — and the physical effects can last well beyond delivery. Whether your birth was straightforward or complex, osteopathy can support your recovery by gently releasing tension, improving function and helping your body adjust to the demands of life with a baby.

Karly - head

Osteopathy may help with:

  • Pelvic pain or imbalance
  • Back pain (upper, mid or lower)
  • Stress incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Feeding-related posture strain
  • Shoulder, wrist or neck pain
  • Headaches and tension

During your session, your osteopath will assess how your body is moving, and use gentle techniques to reduce discomfort and restore balance.

C-Section Scar Treatment

Sometimes C-section scars heal, but still feel tight, sore or sensitive — even years later. You may notice pulling with certain movements or pouching caused by deeper tissue adhesion.

These symptoms are common, but not something you have to live with.

We offer targeted C-section scar therapy to relieve tension, reduce sensitivity and help your scar feel more integrated — physically and emotionally.

Postnatal Massage

The early months of motherhood are physically demanding — lifting, feeding, carrying, rocking. Massage gives you time to focus on your own recovery, reduce tension and feel more at home in your body again.

Postnatal massage may help you:

  • Relieve neck, shoulder and back pain
  • Soothe tight hips and pelvic tension
  • Improve circulation and reduce swelling
  • Reconnect with your body after birth

Postnatal Exercise

Regaining strength doesn’t need to be rushed — but when you're ready, our team is here to help you rebuild safely and confidently.

Before 6–10 weeks postpartum (depending on birth), you can begin:

  • Gentle breathing exercises
  • Pelvic floor activation
  • Posture awareness
